all 3 in a frenzied attack- substantiate your claims then sir! i have no need to defend my 'chum' under various guises as you do as i merely have the self respect to construct my own opinions and stick by them without feeling in the slightest bit scared that someone might find my views contradictory to their own. i do find it a tad on the lame side that any adult using this forum does not feel they can speak as they think, what is it - were you bullied at school, do you still wet the bed or what? think about it, you are obviously so genuinely ashamed of what you think that you daren't tell anyone about it without pretending to be someone else. i used to pretend to be someone else, when i was 5 i used to pretend i was a train when i was on my bike, when i was 10 i used to pretend i was diego maradona (unsuccessfully) whilst playing football but i left the pretending aspect of my life sometime before puberty and embarked on adulthood. note for thommo- you cheeky swine, oldest member of an amateur dramatics group- chris harrison must fit that description! does look nice though in a frock! as for the sigmund freud comment, thankyou very much- a lovely compliment though for the record he wasn't a psychologist but a psychoanalyst- did specialise in split personality though so t'old sigmund would have found the people on this forum with their 'multi-purpose usernames' extremely interesting case studies! defending Paul Hitch, yeh i would do that actually- he's a decent bloke who puts alot of voluntary hours into a junior football club as do many others, made a mistake though, albeit a big one. Paul's not everyone's cup of tea but neither am i and neither is thommo but i find people who just agree with everyone else without having the conviction to voice their own opinions as being extremely boring and a bit wet. seems a decent chap to me, barring the mistake that he's paid the price for. everyone turns up to run junior football on a voluntary basis and if the junior managers were asked to name parents whom they only see drop off their children then pick them up again some 4 hours later then i would assume they could name many. alot of parents simply use activities such as football, cubs, brownies, drama groups, boys brigade etc as an extremely cheap creche facility- i'm sure the junior managers know of parents like that. so anybody who turns up, unpaid, giving up part of their weekend as so many involved at ossett town juniors do should not be chastised as Paul Hitch has been. to say that the people who'll, undoubtedly, say "i wish he wouldn't bother" come on here under aliases somewhat supports the lack of character in some people. i honestly think that to continue to want be involved in the club after recent publicity speaks volumes about Paul Hitch and his desire to put right what he did wrong, after years of coaching on an evening and helping run a team on a sunday is admirable and should not be dismissed. i certainly have more respect for Paul than the fools who continue to use this forum under different names. This man, at least, has conviction in his actions to put right wrong doings, whereas others merely whimper in the distance looking panic-stricken at the prospect that someone may find out who they are!! if anyone does 'reply' to what i've said on this forum then please, first consider your own self-esteem and problems within your life that cause you be so ashamed of your own thoughts that you have to pose as an alias. also, i'd like to ask that someone could speak with a little structure and clout to their argument.

First of all before anyone out there goes up to check their bedsheets, it’s fairly common that people use aliases on websites like this. Young Tats’ analysis albeit a d**n sight more qualified than me may be a touch over the top. I personally choose to reveal my identity as I shoulder some of the responsibility administering the juniors and formerly the seniors up at Ossett Town.
The fact that both of us identify ourselves, in my opinion, demonstrates that all we are doing is exercising a point of view. On the Paul Hitch my understanding of events is he resigned as vice-chairman (a position that was up for re-election in June/July) and has followed the same route coaching the under 12’s ( a position he’d been asked to vacate prior to the Gala) This may be a poor analogy but it’s a little like taking a library book back a few days early ‘cos you happen to be passing. Paul is in the privileged position of being a full member and has a vote on issues at the club. If he or the club are to be seen to do the right thing his membership should be terminated.
Your comments regarding Tim being a thoroughly decent chap contradict your allegations regarding the trophy cabinet and the player who couldn’t get picked. I have spoken with Tim about this and he recollects the conversation but assures me it was to a young Trins player who he was teasing about who the best club in Ossett were. Banter this…. harmless banter! He did go on to say that he can’t remember you being there but no prizes for guessing who was! If my analogy above is poor, yours certainly is regarding a difference of opinion with your wife regarding bathroom tiles and your “disgust” at Tim and it being reflective of the whole junior section.
On the fake id cards front, I am amazed at your self-restraint when being made aware of the incident but not who had done it. I have to be honest and admit if I’d heard it I’d want to know who it was. Certainly if I’m correct in I disagreeumption that this is what you were referring to when you quoted that “many a rule is bent in Ossett Town Juniors' favour regarding various items”. It all seems to have hit the fan a little to quickly for my liking really
Your curiosity regarding the identity of 008 without having desire to know who loofer, loomer, Waynetta slob and parent are also puzzles me as I personally find the content of these posts far more damaging and disturbing than any post from 007,008 or spectre for that matter.
OK young tats, I hope there’s enough structure and clout , I know you won’t be offended and no doubt you’ll let me know and when doing so please login with username and password and that way I will really know its you! Cheers Thomo (should be a smiley face here but I don’t know how to do em)

oh I forgot to mention the cheap creche facility. Ossett Town clubhouse has been a cheap creche facility for several years now for many a youngster who ought to have been tucked up in bed at 10 & 11 at night.

some good reflective points there. i do hope that you are not insinuating that i have posted under differing names as said "008" has- it is for this reason that i targeted the coward and none of the other posters as they were making no reference to yours truly. i can categorically state that these posts are nothing to do with me, will someone please tell me why would they be? on my reflection- regarding Tim i do actually regret posting regarding my "disgust" at principles behind junior football, i'm also familiar now, especially after reading them back that i do seem to be targeting Tim unfairly via a generalisation. my fault that. don't get me wrong, i'm not altering my stance on the issue as i still disagree with Tim and others regarding elitist football in local football at 7-11 years old as there are schools of excellence and district teams whose job it is to take the cream of young players and to me it is the job of local teams to give ANY child an opportunity to play. A missed concept is that an 8 year old who has two left feet doesn't love the game any less than the 8 year old who sets the world alight and, in my opinion, has the right to play just as many minutes of football. this is by the by. i WAS disgusted with Tim's comments, if your context is correct then i find it equally as bad to attempt to laugh at a player from a rival club on apparent lack of success (banter or no banter) but i should have kept those opinions to myself and not posted them on this forum and for that i can only apologise. let's be fair, i've been disgusted about alot of things that people have said and i'm sure people would think the same about some of my opinions but i don't think they should be 'aired' on a public forum as i did. again, an apology to anyone offended. see i'm not so arrogant to not apologise if i think i'm wrong. it must be said that i DO NOT dislike Tim, i just dislike some of his principles on certain issues- I can guarantee that i won't like some of Thommo's principles on certain issues, aswell as principles of my 'chum' Paul Hitch. everybody thinks differently. some would bring back the death penalty, some wouldn't- some would play peter crouch instead of michael owen, some wouldn't. it doesn't mean that you like or dislike that person and i genuinely apologise if that's how it is perceived. so i think i've made a mistake there, maybe i might be on the front page of tomorrows evening post for my error- afterall, it seems the done thing these days.

So you would agree then that if the club has the opportunity to build a centre of excellence which would provide children, of all ages and ability, with the chance to play football in a safe and secure environment, that the club should and has a duty to pursue that option?

Just been reading all the absolute dross that has been posted and would like to say that its about time people put their personal differences aside and started working towards finding some common ground to sort out the problems these parties seem to have with each other.I myself have been involved with the juniors for six years first as a parent and for the last 3 seasons as a manager and ive witnessed some pretty unsavoury behaviour from parents screaming at managers in the club because their child was subbed, to referees blatantly cheating in front of me and to opposing managers playing ringers. This is junior football,it goes on up and down the country and will continue to do so. Junior football is run by volunteers and is extremely difficult to govern, therefore trust seems to be the most important factor in my experience. What Paul Hitch did was wrong but it wasn't pre-meditated, it was just a stupid mistake and he has paid the ultimate price. I was an official at Ossett Towns Gala and witnessed all what transpired after the incident in fact i was the first to say that he should be called before the junior committee to face disciplinary action, however it seems that Paul has done the decent thing and resigned from his posts with the juniors, he also wrote letters appologising for his actions to the clubs that were affected and also to our chairman Tim Asbury, these letters were sent by Paul personally and not by the club as reported in the Evening Post. In response Thornes Juniors, who made the complaint, have accepted this appology and Pauls decision to remove himself from his positions and have said that no further action needs to be taken. So can we please get over it and move on, i for one am sick of people using the club as an excuse to have a go at individuals. I'm not taking anyones side i am aiming these comments at both factions within the club, sort yourselves out, grow up and lets make a fresh start and hopefully continue the success that Phil and his under 16's brought to the club this season. The juniors have teams from under 7 to under 17, for the sake of these kids, "STOP THIS IMMATURE SNIPING AND SORT IT OUT"

Just so everyone knows who this is - it's Keith not Andy. I totally agree with Justin - let's get on with the football! Thommo, your hard work and ideas are appreciated by most, if the Juniors could persuade you to take over from Tim you'd have my vote BUT.... lay off Hitchy, Justins comments on this subject are spot on. You're a better man than to let you're experiences on the Exec taint your view of this argument. Thanks to Tim from all in the ladies section, we haven't the experience that some managers have of junior football and Tim has been a great help. If everyone bought him a pint that felt they owed him one he'd be drunk til Xmas.

Thanks Keith & Justin I understand your comments. My view of this is not clouded at all. What is the point of having a constitution if it's not followed. I don't want to go through chapter and verse of recent events but would like to make it perfectly clear that 1) I DID NOT report this to the YEP (young tats I'd be grateful if you would let those closest to you know this. I've ben up to ther club and expressed my concern to the Chairman) 2) My opinions on this are quite simple - he should not be allowed to influence any decisions involving Ossett Town for a very long time. 3) If I were to go to any papers I would have done so a long time ago and with much more to say than this. 4) Paul's quote to the papers is still an attempt to distort the facts. When challenged about the incident his immediate reaction was to launch a torrent of abuse at the Thornes manager. 5) My opinions on this matter should be in the Wakefield Express today as they contacted me to run a story as a weekly paper. No doubt the whole quote won't go in but I have acknowledged Paul knows he's wrong, Ive also mentioned how this has overshadowed Steve Kav & Co's efforts in raising the most money. I've also pointed out that the fact it's front page news is because it's so rare and we can all breath a sigh of relief for that, but ultimately to my knowledge no-one has died. We need to move on but determining one's own punsihment is no more acceptable than the initial misdemeanour. 6) YES I do feel sorry for Paul, the Club and several other people and it's not the first time I've felt sorry for Paul as Paul has often been placed in situations that are not his doing

Sad to hear about Tims resignation and would like to say a big thankyou to him for all the help, advice and support he has given me since i became a manager. Tims work for the juniors has been fantastic and i'm sure everybody within the junior set-up owes him a great debt of gratitude for guiding the club to the heights we are achieving today. I only hope the next chairman, whoever that maybe, is as dedicated and accessible as Tim has been in the years that i have been involved with the club. "CHEERS TIM AND THANKS"

the reverend Thomo from the Church of St Philip the Blessed in Horbury to be our next junior chairman!
hallelujah! and pass the ammunition!
;D
and Satan has the wicked full members in his spell! and let the light of the good lord shine upon the righteous who seek salvation in Shaw Cross!
;D
Verily, Dewsbury means "Gods Town" in old English and Ossett means "poor place with poor field" in the language of our predecessors.
;D
And blessed be Father Kelly from Lupset Martyrs, for he spreadeth the good word amongst the heathen of Ossett, "New Crown Flatt is heaven upon earth", he doth preach, "vote yes, and ye shall take thy place at the right hand of Mark Sawyer"
;D
Now say 12 hail mary's before Jonathan Ross starts on BBC1
