Once again Ossett town have the Honor of being the worst supported team in the division only 163 turning up on a miserable day at Ingfield.
After the Tescos debacle we were informed by the Exec committee that 1800 people had signed up to a petition which has never been seen which was against the selling of the ground to Tescos. The exec committee went along with this so-called petition and since then have had to scrimp scrape and moaned about the financial status of the club. Surely knowing that the support of the people of Ossett Was never to be rely ed upon the question has to be asked why on earth was the offer of Tescos not pursued further.
Looking at the members of the exec i struggle to see where their expertise of managing the football club lies.
Non of them have much if any footballing expertise and i dont see any successful business men who's millions could be used to take the club forward. As a team we are a bit as Kitty states Jekyll & Hyde but with a good run of results and having seen the other teams in the league certainly we're capable of making the play offs but with the foresight and poor support of the exec committee & people of ossett we arnt set up off the pitch to ever consider the prospect of conference football.
we need clear direction from those above as to where they want to take the club at the moment we're like a ship without a rudder with no direction and just staying afloat with very little support. Its time that the people of Ossett and the exec pull together and have a concerted effort to take the club forward.
There plenty to debate.
