Cheers
Massive applause goes to the travelling support to Whitby. Having the privilege to be opposite side of the field and listen to the youthful exhuberance was sheer quality. To find out all the parents had a little wager on us at 4-1 was sweet.
The players really appreciate the young lads getting involved and the majority yesterday were the under 11's once again.
On the playing side I thought we were value for money for the win and it was tremendous to see lads like Macca, Aiden & Luke step up and deal with high-flying opposition with aplomb.
Over the last few weeks Wally has been grafting like mad to get back to match fitness and on a heavy pitch he showed he's almost there with a very mature workmanlike performance being involved in the first goal and scoring the second.
Boxing Day at home to Frickley will be significantly different but Kitty has a pleasant selection headache as lads return from injury & suspension.

Report from Whitby website
Whitby followed up last week's momentous 3-1 win at leaders Telford, with a disappointing home defeat to mid-table Ossett Town at the Turnbull Ground on Saturday.
Without suspended duo Tom Raw and Tom Claisse, Town manager Lee Nogan brought back fit-again skipper Matty Appleby and right-back Tom Reid. The Blues were then hit by two fresh injury problems when goalkeeper David Campbell was forced to withdraw late on and left-winger Karl Richards, due a return to the squad, suffered a clot on his problem knee and wasn't risked.
Not helped by an understandably heavy pitch, this match took a while to get going, with Dave McTiernan firing tamely straight at Ossett keeper Jon Worsnop after four minutes, and the visitors' top scorer last season, James Walshaw fired wide from the edge of the Whitby box on twelve.
The Blues were given a huge let off halfway through the first half when the back four stopped to appeal an offside that didn't come, allowing Carl Fothergill to race clear but the former Kettering midfielder could only find the side netting.
The home side had their best spell around the half hour mark as Ant Ormerod, replacing Raw up front provided some fine skills on the byline, only to over-hit his ball into the box. Moments later, Worsnop did well to just about hold on to a trademark Danny Brunskill 20-yard piledriver. And Ormerod was again instrumental within seconds as he curled a fine effort towards the top-right corner of the net from the edge of the box, only for Worsnop to deflect wide, helped by, what looked to be, his left knee.
A minute before the break, good work from Brunskill with a familiar bulldozing run created space for McTiernan, who fired wastefully over the crossbar from 18 yards.
Into the second half, and Whitby's stand-in keeper Jack Norton showed his worth on 53 minutes, to keep out a header from one of his team-mates. After Ossett number three Luke Smith looped over a deep cross from the left, Phil Brumwell mistimed his attempted clearing header at the far post, and Norton was forced to acrobatically claw the ball over his own head from right under the crossbar.
Two minutes later, and the ex-Hartlepool stopper saved a much tamer effort from Rob O'Brien as shots on goal ran dry for both sides.
The Seasiders' new signing Stephen Thomas, who recieved a warm welcome from Town's noisy support when introduced pre-match, became yet another of the club's injury victims on the hour mark. The former Wrexham and Darlington midfielder limped off to be replaced by Graham Robinson who did well when introduced at a similiar point last week in Shropshire.
And the former South African Youth international could've broken the deadlock eight minutes later. More good play from Ormerod down the left flank, saw the former Middlesbrough man pick-out Town's assistant manager inside the Ossett area, only for Worsnop the slide in and nick the ball off the end of Robinson's boot.
The visitors, roared on by a coach full of Under 11s rearranged their own midfield in the 73rd minute when ex-York City star Mark Thompson replaced Fothergill.
And the visitors never looked back, with most of the play in the Whitby half for the final 17 minutes. After a needless push on Thompson by Reid near the left touchline, the resulting free-kick was just about scrambled clear in a chaotic home penalty area.
But Ossett deservedly and rather inevitably, grabbed the lead on 77 minutes when a deep right-wing cross was headed perfectly over Norton and into the roof of the Whitby net by youngster Aiden Savory.
Nogan sacrificed defender Reid and threw on Scott Nicholson for his first competitive appearance in a Town shirt at the Turnbull Ground since his knee injury horror back in April, to give the Blues a bit more physical presence going forward. But by now all the action was taking place at the opposite end of the field.
Walshaw had a good chance to double his side's advantage nine minutes from time but Norton reacted well to touch the big striker's effort round the keeper's near post. However, Walshaw, one of last season's top five Unibond marksmen, but luckily for the rest of the league hampered by injury since, found the right side of the woodwork moments later.
A corner from the left was knocked deep to the far post where the man nicknamed Wally by friends and supporters gleefully nodded home, but Whitby will be furious after what appeared to be a deliberate obstruction on Norton as the ball came across.
With an unsual ten day rest period before the Boxing Day 'derby' visit of North Ferriby, Town will be keen to welcome back the likes of Richards, Raw and Campbell, knowing a win is vital after rivals Telford, Hednesford, Marine, Guiseley and Burscough were all successful at the weekend.
However, a much improved display from the Jekyll and Hyde Seasiders, will be required if Town are to claim a first home win inside 90 minutes since November 18.
Norton, Reid(Nicholson 78), Brumwell, Appleby, Farthing, Wilford, McTiernan, Drinkall, Ormerod, Brunskill, Thomas(Robinson 62). Sub not used: Wilkinson.
