Happy new year to you all, hope everyone had a great time. I enjoyed my brief visit to the UK just sorry never got chance to go to a game. I don't think my wife would have been too impressed as we were there for her fathers funeral. Good to see Tim never changes and had a good chat with Tomo about life at the club in general. It seems very quiet on here at the moment apart from Grog and his/her junior results and reports (keep up the good work there). Is everyone hibernating now or is there really so little to talk about?

Heyup Pete glad to see you got back ok. Things have been quiet on the football front as the first team played yesterday for the first time since boxing day. We were well worth a 1-1 draw and with alittle more ambition could have possibly taken all 3. The squad looks very strong at the moment with competition for places quite fierce. The camp seems a happy camp which is pleasing but behind the scenes money seems as tight as ever and a lot of ground improvements are set to get underway. I'm still confident of flirting with a play-off spot as marine (3rd)our visitors yesterday were nothing special and Whitby (5th) beat Hednesford (2nd) yesterday and to be honest I thought we looked a class above Whitby in early December. Things seem to have improved on the discipline front as we have a suspended sentence hanging over our heads for our poor record. At the start of the season I'm sure the exec would have been happy with maintaining our premiership status and barring any major catastrophes that objective should be a formality - it would make sense to speak with Kitty right now to secure his services for next year and in turn he can speak with the players to assure them of how valued they are at the club. it would be nice to start next season with the majority of players being familiar and established as opposed to 7 new faces come august. I think that should bring you up to date as the Reserves are back in action next week at home whilst the firsts travel to Prescot in what should hopefully be 3 points and help cement our place in the top half as we move to the business end of the season. cheers Thomo
