Following our Junior meeting last night and by reading some of the comments posted on this forum, the consensus of opinion is there needs to be tighter controls regarding posting. One suggestion was a members (that's forum members not club members) only forum whereby people post in their own name. The Junior Managers feeling was if the site can't be more closely moderated then the Junior Link needs removing as several of our younger members should not be reading some of the drivel.

It has to be said that this is not the first time this has been suggested. The forums were set up with no requirement for "signing in" in order to encourage people to use it and give the forums a chance to flourish, That seems to have been achieved. I have toyed with the idea of making these forums members only, mainly as a result of some of the more recent threads, I think the time is now right to do this. As of today I will be altering the settings so that registration is required to posta new thread or reply to an existing one. you naughty people!
coming on here posting drivel? how dare you!if you want to talk drivel, go and stand in the bar with the rest of them, you know it upsets his lordship and all his fat little pygmies when you post drivel on here because they can't join in, they like to stamp their little feet and say rude things about Thomo and Kelly in the bar,but they don't like it when someone says anything rude about them on here. Its just not fair! They have been doing unpaid work for this club, 5 minutes a week for the last 19 years and you can't say anything rude about them even when they are proven to be rubbish at their job and blah blah blah even though its ok for them to criticise your efforts but you can't say anything back and so on.
Any junior parent who believes this forum is the worst thing for their kids to look at is seriously in self denial, there's a lot worse football forums about, the last time i looked at Manchester United's forum there was a "no details spared" discussion about Sol Campbell's private life.
That's my rant over for the night, hopefully i will chat with you all tomorrow. Good night! ;D
