Still in a state of shock following last nights 1-0 defeat at Matlock. Ossett absolutely battered Matlock from the first minute to the last. A failiure to convert numerous half-chances and 4-5 clear chances was ultimately Town's downfall as a sterling performance proved fruitless in terms of league points.
On a positive note chances were created and once a full quota of players return to fitness a climb up the table seems inevitable. Sturday's visit of Leek Town is particularly vital as 3 points would be more than welcome to Kitty's men

Matlock had 9 regulars playing last night and a couple of newish faces. The comments on their forum say it all, Briggsy was lucky not to get a card of sorts but that typified the officials common-sense approach last night as all officials were excellent. Matlock wasted time at every opportunity so after the play was stopped following a Matlock player kicking it for a throw. Danny Davidson threw it for a Matlock goal kick.... what's wrong with that? I am envious of their support but not of there facilities or mentality.
