THE OFFER FROM TESCO’S
A cash lump sum of £4,500,000 (4.5 Million pounds) for the purchase of the existing ground with the exception of the Clubhouse, function room and a strip of land which runs adjacent to those buildings which can be used for a car park to service the clubhouse.
THE OFFER FROM DEWSBURY
Ossett Town to buy a 50% share in The Tetley’s Stadium and all other assets owned by the Dewsbury Rams including 23 acres of adjacent land which is suitable for development.
Price £1,500,000 (1.5Million pounds)
Ossett Town and Dewsbury Rams would remain separate entities.
Ossett Town and Dewsbury Rams would retain their autonomy.
A Stadium Management Company made up of representatives of both clubs would be formed to administer those areas of operation that affect both clubs.
Revenue streams from stadium advertising, naming rites etc.. Would be split 50/50 between the two clubs
Bar takings on match days would be split 50/50 between the two clubs (Dewsbury Rams are averaging over 1,000 attendances at present so this arrangement is heavily in Ossett Towns favor)
Revenue raised from functions, Parties, Corporate days or any other type of event held within the stadium would be split 50/50 between the two clubs
A Five-a-side football complex has already been given planning permission to build up to eight all weather pitches which would be available to Ossett Town teams. The annual lease payments for this company would be split between Dewsbury and Ossett Town giving the club a £37,500 annual revenue stream.
A Further development which is under negotiation would see either a very large cash lump sum or another long term annual lease payment made to the club.
There are a number of opportunities for further developments which would realise an annual revenue stream to Ossett Town from Lease payments paid to the SMC (Stadium Management Company)
Dewsbury Rams have an award winning Community Development programme which sees their players visit numerous schools throughout the district. This regular contact with thousands of schoolchildren has allowed them to grow their fan base year on year. We would be allowed to dovetail our own Community programme with theirs.
Joint season ticket promotions would allow us to appeal to Dewsbury Rams supporters.
Administrational costs and practices would be shared giving us greater scope and professionalism at a fraction of the cost.

THE PLANS
Ingfield
A Total refurbishment/extension of the current Social Club and Function room at Ingfield.
Demolishing of the portokabins to make way for extensions and car parking
The Pitch at Dewsbury
Approximately £400,000 to upgrade the playing area within the stadium with a semi synthetic pitch similar to that used in the Galpharm Stadium (Huddersfield Town/Giants Stadium)
Upgrading the playing surface would not only give us a more hardwearing playing area but the overall quality would be attractive to the likes of Leeds Utd and/or Huddersfield Town reserves. Leeds Utd reserve games brought in approximately £8,000 per game whilst playing at Belle Vue (Wakefield Trinity). This revenue would be kept by Ossett Town AFC.
Junior Clubhouse and facilities
Development of a junior football facility to include:
Three junior pitches serviced by a separate junior clubhouse, showers, dressing rooms etc..
The possibility of one pitch having a stand on one touchline side (similar to County HQ)
The obvious benefit of this is the juniors of 11 years and upward would no longer need to be scattered throughout the district when playing their home games.
A junior setup of this type can be further developed into a centre of excellence for the locality. This would attract a greater number players and managers which in turn opens the opportunity for us to bid for sports grants and make more developments to the junior facilities.
Investments
The remaining monies £2,500,000 (£2.5 Million) would then need to be wisely invested on behalf of the club.
We’ve all heard horror stories of other clubs frittering away their money so we need to learn a lesson from them and put strict rules in place for the governance of the finances within the club. A set % of the clubs revenue for example, similar to Rugby Leagues salary cap.
With such facilities and massively enhanced and regular revenue streams not to mention the greater attraction for club and match day sponsors there is no reason why Ossett Town AFC could not progress into the Conference and maybe even Coca Cola League two and Football League status.
Just to kill another rumor
Dewsbury Rams are not in financial trouble! In fact the opposite is the truth. They will go forward and invest whether we take their offer or not. They do however, recognize that a Stadium should be used more than 24 times a year and they wish to partner with a forward thinking club who will be neither a cash cow nor a drain to them.
Their actions throughout this negotiation have been honorable, they have been open and honest throughout and have done the right thing by Ossett Town when declaring the interest of possible developments on the 23 acre site.
This is a fair and factual list of the offers and opportunities that are before us!
I have neither embellished the truth nor hidden anything that might be less than positive!
This is a superb opportunity for Ossett Town, the distance from Ingfield to Tetley's Stadium is no further than it is to Queens Drive.
Please vote carefully!
